Fernand Charron, formerly of Charron, Girardot et Voigt, took over the E.N.V. works at Courbevoie in 1912 and established a new automobile business under the Alda name—expanded in period accounts as ‘Ah, la Délicieuse Automobile’. The prewar range comprised the four-cylinder 15 CV and a larger 25 CV, with rotary-valve and six-cylinder engineering also reported. Manufacture resumed after the First World War with the 3,563 cc 20.1 CV and moved to Farman's Billancourt works from 1920. Low-volume production ceased in 1922.
