J. Mayer manufactured Alan automobiles at Bamberg in Bavaria between 1923 and 1925. Conceived during Germany's inflation period, the cars emphasized simple construction and were produced only in limited numbers. The entire documented range consisted of the 6/30, powered by a 30 hp overhead-valve four-cylinder engine made by Siemens & Halske in Berlin. Production ended in 1925 without a successor model.
