Artur Diebler founded ADI-Fahrzeugbau in Berlin-Neukölln in 1948, deriving the ADI name from his initials. Its simple Lieferdreirad placed an ILO engine and chain drive over the single front wheel, with platform or box cargo bodies behind the driver; at least 1,000 had been built by 1951. A related two-seat invalid carriage was developed in 1950–1951 but lacks evidence of series production. ADI shifted toward mopeds in 1954 and displayed a final cargo moped in 1956 before closing. The geographic qualifier separates this badge from unrelated uses of ADI.
