William Sachiti founded Academy of Robotics through Aberystwyth University's InvEnterPrize program in 2017, using its seed award to develop the Kar-go autonomous delivery project. The company partnered with Pilgrim Motorsports to construct its first road-going vehicle and unveiled Kar-go at the 2019 Goodwood Festival of Speed. British road licensing followed in 2020, enabling contactless medicine-delivery trials, and Kar-go vehicles later supported Royal Air Force logistics trials alongside the company's Space-Bus command station. The vehicle remains documented as a development and trial program rather than a conventional volume-production model line.
