A.G. Engineering began automobile work in Lisbon in 1988. Its best-documented project was the AX BB Cabrio, commissioned by Citroën dealer Benjamin Barral: a four-seat, structurally reinforced AX convertible shown in 1988 but delayed by homologation until 1991. Production continued for roughly two years, with published totals ranging from about sixty to ninety-two. The company also offered the Traction Vulumax, placing a fiberglass Traction Avant-style body on Citroën 2CV foundations. Manufacture ended around 1995, leaving those two vehicles as its complete source-attested range.
